GENERAL INFORMATION
Prices are quoted per day and hire periods are calculated on a 24 hour basis e.g. if a car is collected at 3pm on a Saturday for one week's rental, it must be returned the following Saturday no later than 3pm. Minimum age for hire of vehicles is 18 years (although young driver surcharge for 18-20 years applies). Drivers must produce a full, current driving licence held for a minimum of one year, if not in English then an accurate English translation or an International Driver's Permit is required.

A valid credit card (debit cards not accepted) is required to cover the deposit for the exclusions listed below. This will be taken in the form of a credit card authorisation and sufficient funds must be available on the card. The authorisation will be cancelled for any charges not incurred.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) & THEFT LOSS WAIVER (TLW)
Our prices include Maximum CDW and TLW with zero excess (although claim administration fees may apply - see Additional Administration Fees). Trailfinders prices include cover for damage to the windscreen, tyre, rim and hubcap as well as damage caused by sandblasting. Note that CDW does not cover damage caused by water, under-body damage to the vehicle or valet charges (when applicable).
Please note: All insurance is void should the terms and conditions as stated in your rental agreement be violated.

YOUNG DRIVERS
Drivers aged 18-20 (incl) must have a full unendorsed driver's licence and pay a surcharge of N$130 per day.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
One additional driver is free, extra drivers cost N$150 and must be registered on collection.

INFANT/CHILD SEATS
Required by law and cost N$158 per seat. Seats are available for children up to the age of 5 and must be requested 72 hours in advance.

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL SPARE TYRE
A refundable deposit of N$932 and a local charge of N$37 per day apply for all car types (except J & N which are already fitted).

FUEL
A deposit of N$1,080 will be taken on collection and refunded if the car is returned with a full tank. It is not possible to pay for petrol by credit card in Namibia and it is recommended that you check availability of petrol along your route.

ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATION FEES
A rental contract fee of N$33 per rental will apply. There is also a claim administration fee of N$460 in the event of damage or theft and a traffic fine administration fee of N$190 in addition to any traffic fine.

ONE WAY HIRES
A one way fee of N$746 will apply on any one way rental when a vehicle is picked up and dropped off at different locations in Namibia except: Rentals from Luederitz/Rosh Pinah to Windhoek (and vice versa) cost N$1,242 per rental.

UPGRADING
Please note that if you have booked and paid for a particular car type and on arrival you are offered 'an upgrade', you will be required to pay extra for it. You would also pay more for the upgrade locally than if you had originally paid for the bigger car.

SATELLITE PHONES
For your own peace of mind we strongly recommend that you pre-book a satellite phone. These can be hired in Windhoek from the airport or downtown and cost US$9.50 per day including 2 free minutes. Incoming calls are free, outgoing call costs and excesses vary. All rates exclude 14% VAT. A credit card authorisation of N$5,000 will be taken at the point of rental.
