Our European car hire prices are continually revised and updated so we can ensure we are able to provide you with the most competitive and inclusive rates at the time of making your booking. With our dynamic 'all inclusive' pricing, combined with Hertz's commitment to provide the highest level of service and modern vehicles, you can be assured you will receive a quality service and at the right price!

Trailfinders Prices Include

• Unlimited Mileage.


• Collision Damage Waiver - CDW (excluding excess).


• Airport Surcharges and Local Government Taxes.


• Theft Protection (excluding non-waiverable excess).


• Location Service Charge.


• Vehicle Licensing Fee.


• 24 hour roadside assistance.

Trailfinders Prices do not Include

• Excess and deposits - these vary depending on vehicle group hired and destination.


• Personal Accident Insurance.


• Additional Drivers (charges vary by country).


• Young Driver Surcharge (where applicable).


• One way fees where applicable (see One Way Hires).


• Fuel – a fuel deposit is also required in many destinations.


• Child/Infant seats & ski racks (must be booked in advance).


• Optional personal accident insurance (not necessary if you buy Trailfinders travel insurance.


• Taxes on all additional charges.

One Way Hires

With the 'Rent-It-Here/Leave-It-There' (RIH-LIT) option, Hertz gives you even more flexibility when planning your European itinerary. Free drop-offs are allowed between many major cities within country of rental. For intercountry rentals, the RIH-LIT option features affordable drop charges for many European cities. One way hires must be confirmed in advance, please ask your Trailfinders travel consultant for further details.

Insurance/Excess

The vehicle is insured although a non-waiverable excess will apply (the amount will vary depending on the country and vehicle group hired). The excess is the maximum the renter is liable for in the event of loss or damage to the vehicle or third party, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Drivers must produce a valid major credit card in their own name and an imprint will be taken for the amount of the excess and/or vehicle deposit and held as security. Cash deposits and debit/payment cards are not accepted.
