KOA CAMPGROUNDS
There are around 16,000 campgrounds throughout the USA and Canada from sites with full facilities where you link to mains water, electricity and drainage, to more natural national or state park campgrounds without these facilities. Kampgrounds of America (KOA) offer over 600 full facility campgrounds in unique, scenic locations often at the doorstep of awe-inspiring vistas and national parks. Stay near beautiful lakes, rivers, mountains and wide open spaces whilst enjoying the comforts of a KOA.
NATIONAL, STATE & PROVINCIAL PARK CAMPGROUNDS
These provide the most idyllic locations and the opportunity to ‘commune with nature’. Waking up in an amazing location, with nothing but the birdsong and the sunrise to disturb you, has to be just perfect. Rarely will you find water, electric or waste disposal hook ups at these campgrounds – not a problem if you make sure your freshwater and propane tanks are full and your waste holding is empty. You have a separate ‘coach battery’ which will power the motorhome for an evening but book a motorhome with an onboard generator and this will run to power you or boost your batteries.
