GENERAL INFORMATION
The price is dictated by the start date of the hire. Hire periods are calculated on a 24 hour basis e.g. if a car is collected at 3pm on Saturday for 1 week's hire, it must be returned the following Saturday no later than 3pm. The maximum hire period is 56 days on each hire agreement and voucher.

Drivers (including additional drivers) must present a major credit card in their own name, passport and a full valid driver's licence (a British licence is acceptable but an International permit is not), and proof of a homeward flight ticket when picking up the car.

LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER (LDW)
This is included and eliminates responsibility for damage to or loss of your rental vehicle (subject to terms of the rental agreement not being violated). An excess of CA$300 applies for drivers 25 yrs & over and CA$500 for 21-24 yrs. Vehicle pick-ups in Whitehorse and Newfoundland are subject to CA$1500 excess for drivers of all ages. Vehicle pick-ups in Yellowknife are subject to CA$2000 excess for drivers of all ages.

LIABILITY COVERAGE
UK motorists are accustomed to having unlimited 3rd party liability insurance, but this is not the situation in Canada. Some states & provinces have limits of liability as low as US$10,000 per person for bodily injury, US$20,000 total per accident and US$5,000 for property damage. For this reason Trailfinders sells Alamo's and National's Inclusive prices which increases liability cover up to CA$1 million.
Please Note: all insurance protections are void should Alamo's/National’s Terms & Conditions as stated in your rental agreement be violated.

FUEL
Clients must pay for a full tank at the time of pick-up and may return the car empty (1st tank of fuel FREE with our Alamo Gold/National Enhanced prices - see above).

DEPOSITS
Refundable deposit of CA$25 per day, CA$100 per week payable locally by credit card (additional drivers will also be required to leave this deposit).

MILEAGE
All Alamo/National hires include unlimited kilometres with the exception of the following: Jasper 100kms per day and Whitehorse 200km per day. Extra kilometres driven are payable at 25-28c per km.

DRIVERS
The minimum age for hire of all vehicles is 21 years (except in the province of Newfoundland where min age is 25 years), although a young driver surcharge of CA$25 per person per day will apply for drivers aged 21-24 payable locally.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Cost for additional drivers is CA$10 per person per day payable locally. Charge is not applicable for the additional drivers included free when you buy Alamo Gold or National Enhanced.

INFANT/CHILD SEATS
Infant/child/booster seats are required by law in most areas and cost CA$6.99 per day (must be requested in advance) plus a refundable deposit of CA$50 (payable locally).

SKI RACKS
These must be requested in advance and cost CA$7.50 per day, payable locally.

UPGRADING
Please note that if you have booked and paid for a particular car type and on arrival you are offered 'an upgrade', you will be required to pay extra for it. You would also pay more for the upgrade locally than if you had originally paid for the bigger car.

ONE WAY HIRES
One way hires must be confirmed in advance and may require drop-off charges (subject to change without notice). Cars picked up at an Alamo or National location can only be returned to a location of the same company. Economy cars cannot be booked for one way hires. See above for FREE one way drop charges in certain areas of Canada.

DRIVING AREAS
Cars can be driven in any province of Canada, subject to driving conditions. Cars hired in Whitehorse (Yukon Territory) must be returned to the same depot. Cars must not be driven on unpaved roads and non Federal or Provincial Government roads - in this event LDW and Liability Coverage will be automatically void.

UNBEATABLE PRICE GUARANTEE
This applies to Alamo & National car rentals, pre-booked and pre-paid in the UK and quoted in GBŁ. Quotes are only valid from Alamo & National car rental suppliers registered in the UK (must be stated on internet sites). Price guarantee available at time of booking and for up to 3 days after confirmation (not available on day of hire). Valid on 'like for like' quotes. Car group, rental location, listed inclusions and conditions including upgrade offers must be the same and car must be available to book. Trailfinders reserves the right not to price match on car hire only reservations.

ALAMO/NATIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
All car hires are subject to the legal terms, conditions and pricing procedures of Alamo and National Rent a Car in effect at the time of the hire. The above information is correct at time of printing. In the event of subsequent enactment of any law in Canada, whether federal, state or local, which restricts or prohibits any of those terms, conditions or pricing procedures, Alamo's and National's terms, conditions and prices will be subject to adjustment to the extent necessary to compensate for such restriction or prohibition.
