*Prices shown above are for collection from a downtown location (i.e. not from an airport). If picking up from an airport simply add Ł4 per day to cover the Airport Concession Recovery Fee.(Ł5 per day with Inclusive Plus supplement).

GENERAL INFORMATION
The start date determines the rental season and the minimum hire period is 1 day. Prices are quoted per day and hire periods are calculated on a 24 hour basis, e.g. if a car is collected at 3pm on a Monday for one week’s hire, it must be returned the following Monday by 3pm. Drivers must produce a full, current driving licence held for a minimum of one year, if not in English then an accurate English translation and an International Drivers’ Permit are also required. For new style 2 part UK licences both the photocard and paper counterpart are required, but an older paper licence is sufficient with a form of photo identification such as a passport. Where the following prices are quoted in AU$ they are payable locally and subject to Goods & Services Tax (GST currently 10%) unless indicated otherwise.

LIABILITY COVER
Liability cover is included for 3rd party liability insurance cover and property damage (up to levels governed by state legislation) and an excess of AU $2,750 will apply, but can be reduced to AU $385 by paying AU $22 per day locally (included in Inclusive Plus supplement). Car groups K & W are subject to an excess of AU $5,500 which can be reduced to AU $1,100 by paying AU $33 per day locally (included in Inclusive Plus supplement).
Please note: all insurance is void should the terms and conditions as stated in your rental agreement be violated.

DEPOSITS
Deposits will be taken on vehicle collection to cover an AU $100 fuel deposit, any miscellaneous/optional charges and the applicable insurance excess. Deposit payments can be made by credit card or cash.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION FREE (Australian equivalent of road tax)
These are fees vary from state to state and currently cost approx AU $5.50 per day (incl GST). This fee is included in the Inclusive Plus supplement.

AIRPORT CONCESSION RECOVERY FEE
Ł4 per day (Ł5 with Inclusive Plus), this surcharge is payable in advance if picking your vehicle up from an airport location.

YOUNG DRIVERS
The minimum age for hire of vehicle groups X, A, B, C & D is 21 years, and for E, F, V, K & W is 25 years. There is a surcharge for drivers aged 21-24 years of AU $27.50 per day, up to a max of AU $192.50 per rental.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Additional Drivers are free, but must be registered on the rental agreement.

INFANT/CHILD SEATS
Infant/Child Seats are required by law in Australia and cost AU $5.50 per day, AU $27.50 per week, up to a max of AU $55 per rental.

UPGRADING
If you have booked and paid for a particular car type and on arrival you are offered ‘an upgrade’, you will be required to pay extra for it! You would also pay more for the upgrade locally than if you had originally paid for the bigger car.

MILEAGE
Australia General & Northern Territory: unlimited kilometres included, except when hiring All Wheel Drives & 4WDs (groups K & W) which include 200 kms per day with excess kms costing 16.50c per km (incl GST). Remote Locations: all car groups include 100 kms per day, excess kms are 27.5c per km (incl GST).
